Sparkling clean - so you have something of your roof tent for years

Blitzeblank - so hast Du jahrelang etwas von Deinem Dachzelt

The roof tents need a little care so that you can enjoy them for years. A roof tent should be stored clean, dry and well ventilated. Please never store wet for a long time. Of course, after a rain shower you can pack up the tent and continue your journey, but then please set it up again to dry.

It is best to store it in a dry place with good ventilation. This is necessary because the water can cause mold and mildew to form inside the case. If you don't allow your tent to dry properly between uses, the fabric can become stiff and brittle over time.

cleaning

The tent can be cleaned with a soft brush or by wiping with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaning pads or liquids. If necessary, impregnation can be carried out with an impregnation agent for tents (no silicone).

The ladder

The ladder does not need to be removed when the tent is not in use. It is enough if you remove the coarse dirt and then pack it up.

The Herring

Another point that needs to be checked regularly are the pegs that may be used to anchor the tent to the ground. These should be checked regularly as they are essential for the secure hold of the tent.
After use, you can clean them under running water, dry them and put them away.

The windows / mosquito nets

Like the main tarpaulin, the windows and mosquito nets need to be dry when you pack the tent. Also make sure that the windows are CLOSED so that you get a more ideal pack size and the windows are protected. By the way, you should remove mosquitoes beforehand :-)

If you pay attention to these tips, nothing stands in the way of your years of friendship with your OutdoorU roof tent!
